Lawsuits have been filed in more than 20 states trying to keep President Donald J. Trump off of their individual ballots because of January 6th. These cases all argue that Trump is ineligible to be on the ballot because he “led” an “insurrection” and “tried to topple the US government.”
On Monday, October 2, the US Supreme Court swatted down one of the first of these cases to be filed. That sends a message to the rest of the lower courts not to even bother with this harebrained scheme. Trump is going to be on the ballot in all 50 states and no frivolous lawsuit is going to stop him.
The argument in all of these cases is that Trump is permanently disqualified from federal office under the 14th Amendment. That amendment was adopted after the Civil War in order to keep Confederate soldiers who had actually waged war against the US government out of office. You know… with actual firearms.
There was never a single person at the US Capitol on January 6th who has been identified or charged with carrying a firearm. No one took a firearm, because none of the real Trump supporters thought they were going to topple the government that day. The only people on January 6th who were caught on camera committing violence or acts of vandalism were undercover fed provocateurs and Antifa members (who were probably fed provocateurs). It was a protest that was much less violent and definitely not as arson-y as the BLM protests.
But that’s all beside the point. The point is that Donald Trump has never been charged with insurrection as a crime. Not even the crazed federal prosecutor Jack Smith has bothered to charge Trump with insurrection or seditious conspiracy. That’s because they know that Trump did not commit any real crimes on January 6th. He told his followers to “peacefully and patriotically” make their voices heard. Everything that Donald Trump said that day was protected political speech.
Most of these 14th Amendment cases have been filed across the country by a man named John Anthony Castro. He’s a lifelong Democrat political candidate (who always loses) from Texas who is suddenly “running for president” as a Republican in 2024. In addition to the Florida 14th Amendment case which the Supreme Court just swatted down, Castro has filed suits in Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming. He’s planning to file suits in Massachusetts and some other states too.
Castro really needs a new hobby. He should maybe take his shoes off and touch some grass with his toes. Or talk to some girls.
The argument that Castro is making in all his cases is that Trump is disqualified from running, and that it is materially harming him because states are allowing Trump on the ballot. Castro claims that people are not donating to him because Trump is in the race, and all those pesky Republican voters are donating their money to Trump. If only Trump were not in the race, we’d all be cutting checks to John Anthony Castro!
Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Cheung said it best when asked about all the cases being filed by John Anthony Castro:
“Who’s that?”
Castro’s case was dismissed without merit in Florida and now the Supreme Court has ruled that the lower court’s ruling stands. Period. Full stop. The rest of the lower courts now know that a precedent has been set that they are to follow. If they bother sending any more of these frivolous cases up to the high court, they will be met with the same dismissive attitude.
Democrat secretaries of state in nearly every state are being pressured to keep Trump off the ballot. It’s not just the Skittle-haired people that are doing it, either. In many states, the RINO establishment is trying to keep him off the ballot. They are so incredibly afraid of him. Most of us have never seen anything like this.
These 14th Amendment cases are one less thing that Trump’s legal team needs to worry about now. The Supreme Court has made it clear that it will stand firm and uphold the Constitution. Donald Trump is going to be on the ballot. Be afraid, libs. Be very afraid!

If they try to keep Trump off of the ballot then I’ll simply write him in on my ballot and not vote for anyone else re: POTUS. Most of those I know around these parts will do the same thing, from what they’ve been telling me. We’ll see…

I am glad to finally see the Justices taking action on this matter. Now what about all the false charges democrats and rhino’s have put upon others. If I can see the truth from where I am I know you Justices can to. You are suppose to keep our government in check and you haven’t done your jobs for years. Why can’t someone step in to remove the corrupt judges overseeing Pres Trumps court rulings. Seems like some one has to be able to over rule the judges refusal to step down and recuse himself from this case.
